Motorcycle Lighting: A Historical Overview

Motorcycle Lighting: A Historical Overview

Jared Witham |

Fast forward to the mid-20th century, and halogen lights became the standard. Halogen bulbs were a massive improvement, offering brighter light and a longer lifespan. Still, they consumed a significant amount of energy and didn’t offer the durability needed for long-term riding.

That’s where Eagle Lights and the LED revolution came in. By the early 2000s, LED technology was reshaping the lighting industry, and we knew that motorcycles would benefit greatly from these advancements. LEDs are not only incredibly bright, but they also consume far less power and last much longer than traditional halogen bulbs. With an emphasis on both safety and aesthetics, we set out to design LED headlights and taillights that would fit the needs of modern riders while paying homage to the classic look of vintage motorcycles.

As we look toward the future, Eagle Lights is committed to continuing this legacy of innovation. Our products are designed with the rider in mind, enhancing visibility and safety while adding a modern edge to classic motorcycles. From humble beginnings to cutting-edge technology, motorcycle lighting has come a long way, and Eagle Lights is proud to be a part of that journey.
